Swagdaddy Fitness is my first official blog. With blogger.com I'm able to not only educate others with weightlifting knowledge but also receive information from others and their blogs. The site is really easy to pick up, but I've switched to the original interface as I felt more comfortable using it. I enjoy the "preview" feature as I constantly critique myself and with the preview button I'm able to do so as often as I like. This user friendly website allows me to take full advantage of the design options and layout my page to attract other weightlifters of all ages. Originally this blog was made with the intentions of doing well on an university assignment, but once making the account I have a new motif. To master the skill of networking and to learn from others which in result will benefit myself and my theories on weightlifting. I want to provide an attractive page, which others can relate to and receive tips in achieving success within fitness. Blogger.com provides opportunities to express ones self, and with that being said, why not give it a shot.
To get ideas on how to make a fitness blog, I've researched online and came across three useful blogs. The first blog I researched is www.menshealth.com. This is a mens health magazine, with stats, exercise routines, recipes, and even dating techniques. The idea is to make ones self confident, and with confidence anything is possible. The second blog I researched was weightliftingepiphanies.blogspot.com. This blog was created to educate others on olympic style weight lifting and the journey one takes achieving it. I personally enjoy this blog because it deals with more advanced lifting exercises and he blogs quite often. Not only does he write about his training days , but he posts videos of what he lifted that day. Watching videos of lifters is really what motivates me and from that I plan on posting videos on Swagdaddy Fitness. The third blog is researched was nutritionunplugged.com. This blog provides healthy recipes for students with a budget, and thats exactly who I am. I feel this site is extremely beneficial , because lets face it, we all get bored of eating the same meals time after time. It's nice to switch it up and get creative in the kitchen, and at the same time making healthy choices which are affordable!! I can't stress it enough, nutrition is the most important part of weight lifting. If you're not getting the right amount of calories and nutrients each day, then your weight lifting and health will suffer. So I highly recommend this blog for others who enjoy cooking and food as much as myself.
Today the internet has to be the most popular way of communication. I'd say more people check the internet for weather updates than turning on the television. The internet is a powerful tool, which if used correctly can be reliable and consistently up to date. Blogs I find are much more convenient to use than reading a magazine for information. You can check a blog anywhere now a days by a mobile device and blogs are free unlike most magazines. Magazines are more flashy and its nice to have something physical, but in reality it's a waste. It's old news which blogs covered weeks before and it's printed on paper which isn't good for the environment. Why read old news, when more up to date relevant information is available at the touch of your fingers. Blogs ultimately are just modern magazines.
